Some quick and easy ways to enjoy the warming spices of doTERRA in your kitchen this winter.
On Guard Apples
2 Apples (Pink Lady's are my choice)
1-2 Drops On Guard Essential Oil
Filtered Water
Method:
Slice apples and place in bowl.
Cover with water and add 1-2 drops of On Guard.
Mix gently, and place in fridge for half an hour.
Drain and serve immediately.
Spiced Hot Chocolate
350ml Nut Milk
2 Tsp Drinking Chocolate (such as Loving Earth)
1 Tbs Raw Organic Honey
1 Toothpick Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
(other options: peppermint, on guard, lavender, wild orange)
Method:
Heat milk gently in a saucepan.
Add drinking chocolate and honey and stir until combined.
Remove from heat and allow to cool for a couple minutes.
Dip the end of a toothpick in the essential oil bottle and stir through your hot chocolate.
Serve immediately.
Creamy Pumpkin Soup
1 onion (sliced)
¼ cup celery (diced)
1 small carrot (diced)
3 cups butternut pumpkin (diced)
2 vegetable stock
½ cup coconut cream
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 drops Cardamom oil
2 drops Cinnamon Bark oil
Method:
Roast first onion, celery, carrot & pumpkin in 180C oven until nicely browned
Add rosted ingredients to a large pot and add stock, coconut cream, salt & pepper
Simmer until just boiling then place in food processor.
Puree until smooth
Allow to cool slightly then add essential oils
Serve hot (and with some crusty bread)
